  • Minibus Driver

    Minibus Driver

    As and when (£15.52 per hour inc. holiday payment)

    Age UK Barnet are looking for a relief minibus driver who will drive our bus when our current driver is unavailable.

    The postholder will work as part of our team providing quality transport for our clients, some of whom may have mobility issues. We provide transport for members who attend out dementia day opportunities at our centres in East Finchley and Hendon. We also use the bus for occasional events held throughout the borough.

  • Catering Manager

    20 hours per week (Mon – Fri)

    Salary circa £30,000.00 per annum pro rata

    We are seeking to recruit an experienced catering manager to oversee the catering function within our organisation across two sites. (East Finchley and Hendon) As our catering manager you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens run smoothly and will be involved with all aspects of catering including menu planning, some cooking, ordering, and ensuring food hygiene compliance across the organisation.

    Exciting Opportunity to Co-ordinate A Men’s Shed Project

    21 hrs per week   (1year Fixed Term contract)

    Salary £ 27,300 per annum pro rata

    Are you passionate about bringing people together, sharing skills, and making a difference in the lives of older men?

    Age UK Barnet would like to recruit an enthusiastic Men’s Shed Coordinator to start and run a new carpentry and furniture restoration community project for men aged 55 and over.

    Working collaboratively with Barnet Furniture Project, and as part of our Wellbeing Team, the postholder will set up and lead this new project, ensuring it is inclusive, safe, enjoyable, and full of purpose.

  • Bank Day Support Worker

    Day Centre Support Worker - Bank

    Hours – as and when £15.52 per hour (inc)

    Exciting Opportunity to join our bank cover team!

    Age UK Barnet would like to recruit bank Day Centre Support Workers for our Living Well/ Dementia Day Opportunities Centre. This role sits within community services for older people, mostly with early to moderate stages of dementia. Working alongside the Living Well Coordinator and other team members, you will help support the welfare of service users attending our day opportunities. You will also assist in the running of activities and events within our centres which are based in East Finchley and Hendon.
