Greetings from the Jubilee Centre. I hope you are managing to keep warm despite the freezing cold that has covered the country.

In this week’s newsletter we announce our Jacob’s Feast at the Jubilee on Wednesday 28th December and we include our opening times over Christmas and the New Year.

Our next newsletter will be out next Thursday with some cheerful good news stories and a special yuletide poem which we have not managed to fit into this week’s edition. Look out for it!

Activities at the Jubilee Centre over Xmas & New Year

We have produced a special timetable which lists when activities finish and when they start again in the New Year.

Between Xmas and New Year, there will be no activities except Line Dancing on Friday 30th December. This is because the Line Dancers have all been very bad this year and we have cancelled their holiday!

Member’s News

Last week, we said farewell to Michelle Goodwin who has been the Officer Manager for our Charity since January 2020. During her time here, Michelle was an enthusiastic and much respected member of the team. Amongst her many achievements, Michelle improved our internal communications by introducing the M/S Team software and launched the new 100 Club. We wish Michelle all the best in her new job and for the future.

We were saddened to learn that Irene Allen has passed away. Irene, aged 87, had been a member at the Jubilee Centre for many years, serving on the Friends of the Jubilee Committee and supporting our fundraising events. We will miss her friendship and positivity. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.
