Ring and Ride

Some members at the Jubilee Centre have informed us of the difficulties they experience when they use the Ring and Ride service.

Jackie Beaumont, Service Delivery Manager for Ring and Ride in the Manchester Area, has kindly offered to come to the Jubilee to find out more. She will be at the Jubilee Centre at 1.00 pm on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

All are welcome to join us. 

Living Life to The Full

This is a new six-week course which aims to help you make a difference to your life. At each session, you will learn how to improve how you feel when you are feeling low or stressed and discover how to tackle problems in your life.

Our trainer is Marie Graham, who extensive experience of working positively with groups and has occasionally stood in to lead Melanie’s Yoga class.

The course starts on Thursday 19th January 2023 from 10 to 12 noon. These sessions are limited to 10 people so please book quickly to avoid disappointment. The charge is £2.50 per week to cover room costs.

Age UK Bury New Year Hours

Our charity shops on the Rock and in Ramsbottom will close for the afternoon on Saturday 31st December, allowing staff and volunteers to be with their families to see in the New Year.   

The Jubilee Centre, our Café, our services and our shops will be closed on Sunday 1st January and Monday 2nd January.

Member’s News

Irene Allen’s funeral will take place on Friday 13th January at 2.30 at East Lancs Crematorium in Radcliffe. The wake will be at 3.30 at Park Farms.

Family flowers only – donations to Age UK Bury in Irene’s memory are welcomed.    

100 Club - This month's winners

Today, we can announce this month’s winners in our 100 Club. For December 2022, we had 67 members, and the winners are

The numbers were chosen using a computerised random number generator and independently verified. The cheques are in the post.
