Age Cymru Dyfed has been out and about at the National Eisteddfod this week, connecting with visitors and showcasing the support and services available to over fifties across West Wales.

Our Dementia Wellbeing Service joined the “More Than Just Words / Mwy Na Geiriau” Pavilion, where Dementia Wellbeing Connectors Jonathan and Jess were on hand alongside colleagues from Hywel Dda University Health Board.

The team shared information about dementia support and how meaningful reminiscence, photographs, music and conversation can help reconnect people with the past, spark memories and support wellbeing.

Meanwhile, Pete, Michelle and Rhiannon represented Age Cymru Dyfed at the WCVA Third Sector Hub, talking to visitors about the wide range of support and services we offer to older people across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

The team also demonstrated some of the reminiscence work we do, highlighting how memories and shared experiences can help people connect and engage.

It was a great opportunity to meet people, share information and raise awareness of the support available to older people and their families across West Wales.
