We are delighted to announce that Age Cymru Dyfed has been awarded the Investors in Carers Gold Award, recognising our ongoing commitment to supporting unpaid carers across our communities.

The award follows an extensive programme of work undertaken by colleagues across Age Cymru Dyfed, demonstrating our dedication to recognising, valuing and supporting the vital contribution made by unpaid carers. As the final stage of the assessment process, we took part in an onsite assessment visit. We are thrilled that the hard work, commitment, and passion demonstrated by colleagues throughout the organisation have been recognised with this prestigious Gold Award.

Celebrating our commitment to carers

Unpaid carers play an incredibly important role in supporting family members, friends and loved ones. Their contribution is invaluable, yet caring can often have a significant impact on a person's own health, wellbeing and quality of life.

At Age Cymru Dyfed, we are committed to ensuring that carers are recognised and receive the information, support and opportunities they need. Achieving the Investors in Carers Gold Award is a fantastic acknowledgement of the work taking place across our organisation to make this commitment a reality.

Looking ahead to the award ceremony

The achievement will be formally celebrated at an award ceremony on Tuesday 27 October, taking place at Parc Dewi Sant from 10am to 1pm.

As part of the ceremony, Age Cymru Dyfed will have the opportunity to share our experience and highlight the work we have undertaken to support carers. A presentation of no more than 10 minutes will outline some of the ways in which we have embedded support for carers across the organisation.

The ceremony will also provide an opportunity for colleagues to come together and celebrate this important achievement.

A collective achievement

This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at Age Cymru Dyfed who has contributed to improving the experience of unpaid carers. We would like to thank all colleagues who have supported this work and helped us reach this important milestone. Most importantly, we hope that achieving the Investors in Carers Gold Award will help us continue to strengthen our approach and ensure that unpaid carers remain at the heart of what we do.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to celebrating with colleagues at the award ceremony.
