Friendly team from Cadbury visits our Peartree lunch club

Lunch club members at The Peartree Centre were treated to a delightful surprise on Wednesday 2nd October when a team from the well-known confectionery company called by with gifts.  Cadbury is generously supporting the national charity Age UK by donating the words from their Cadbury Dairy Milk Bars to help older people in the UK who struggle with loneliness.

Age UK Milton Keynes's seven weekly lunch clubs give local older people the opportunity to meet up with friends and join in social activities.  We also provide a delicious two-course hot meal.  Our lunch club members tell us they look forward to coming to the club and many say they don't know how they would manage without it.  Regular visitors to this website will know that our lunch club members are often treated to entertainment and unexpected guests as our Lunch Club Coordinator, the Cooks and their team of volunteers work hard to ensure older people enjoy their time with us.

Not only did the friendly visitors from Cadbury bring tins of Roses, boxes of Milk Tray and, of course, large bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, but they also stayed for a chat and brightened the day for everyone.
