Support us on Giving Tuesday 2020

Published on 30 November 2020 09:09 AM

We are pleased to be taking part in Giving Tuesday on 1 December - a global day of giving where everyone everywhere can do something to support good causes.

It's a time to reflect on what the charities close to your heart have been doing over the past year - and your chance to give back in some way.

We are celebrating all that we have achieved, helping the older people in the borough of Barnet through these difficult times with meals, shopping, advice, friendly phone chats, activities and more..

We invite you to:

Spread the word about our activities and services among your older friends.

Volunteer with us - maybe you could have a weekly chat with someone who's feeling isolated or you could help an older person get to grips with their laptop or tablet so they can stay in touch with friends and family. Click here for our volunteer page.

Fundraise for us - maybe organise a coffee morning and cake sale on behalf of Age UK Barnet? You could get the local dog walkers together for a sponsored walk. Perhaps your children or grandchildren could encourage their class-mates to find fun and original ways to raise money. Click here for our fundraising page.

Donate - a regular donation or one-off donation would make a real difference to the services we provide. Because we are part of the Age UK network, the national charity that everyone has heard of, people might think that we are a big organisation, but in reality, Age UK Barnet is an entirely separate, small, local charity and we have to raise our own funds for all the work we do.
