SILVER SUNDAY CELEBRATION - 5 October 2025 (11am-3pm) at Middlesex University
Age UK Barnet is delighted to announce the return of its flagship Silver Sunday celebration of ageing well, taking place on Sunday 5 October 2025 at Middlesex University. Now in its 13th year, Silver Sunday is a national day of events and activities designed to celebrate older people and this year in particular highlights the importance of staying socially connected to tackle loneliness and isolation.
“Last year, over 700 people joined us - making it not only the largest Silver Sunday celebration in the country but also the biggest event for older people in Barnet,” says Helen Newman, Chief Executive of Age UK Barnet. “We’re thrilled to bring it back this year and build on that incredible success.”
“Silver Sunday is a wonderful reminder that older people are a vibrant, essential part of our communities,” says Helen. “It’s about coming together, making new friends, trying something different - and above all, feeling valued and celebrated.
"We’ve been working closely with local businesses, organisations and community groups and together we aim to make this year’s event the best yet.”
