Age UK Northamptonshire runs a small fleet of minibuses that provide comfortable, safe transport for older people.
Poor health, disability or fraility can mean that many older people are no longer able to drive and cannot use public transport. Our wheelchair-accessible minibuses take people to our Wellbeing Centres, lunch clubs and other activities.
All our drivers have received First Aid, Dementia Awareness, MIDAS and Manual Handling training. They also enjoy meeting older people and ensuring that their passengers feel safe and well cared for.
Our 17 minibuses are based at five of our Wellbeing Centres. They are also used to transport people to lunch clubs and other activities that we run throughout the county.
Please ring us on 01604 611213 if you have any queries about our minibuses or your transport arrangements.
Please let us know if you or a relative do not need to be picked up on a particular day. This will save unnecessary delays for the other passengers on the minibus.
