Administrator - Collaborative Care Team

Based in Kettering

Rate of pay:  £8.20 per hour
25 hours per week - over four or five days, start and finish times negotiable

The Administrator will provide administrative support to the Collaborative Care Team which provides support to patients being managed by their GP  Practice or District Nurse under the Pro-Active Care scheme.  You will be responsible for making regular contact with clients, providing a befriending and support service to enable them to maintain an independent lifestyle and avoid admission or re-admission to hospital.

We are looking for someone able to respond sensitively and courteously  to client queries and complaints, with a good standard of general education and a calm telephone manner.  You should be computer literate and a competent user of Word and Excel.  The Administrator will contact clients on a regular basis so will need to be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

You will also provide administrative support to the Collaborative Team Co-ordinator, working with a computerised database.

Telephone Assistants - Access Team

Based in Northampton

Rate of pay:  £8.89 per hour
20 hours per week

Post one: Mon 8am - 3pm, Tues 8am - 3pm, Weds 8am - 2pm
Post two: Mon 8am - 3pm, Thurs 8am - 3pm, Fri 8am - 2pm

We are looking for two people with excellent communication skills to answer telephone enquiries from older people, their relatives and carers in a helpful, courteous manner.   You will also be dealing with telephone calls from a wide range of professionals who may wish to refer someone to Age UK Northamptonshire. 

You will identify the requirements of individual clients and take the steps most appropriate to them, to ensure their needs can be met.  This could involve sending written information, liaising with service providers, both internal and external, and signposting to other organisations.  You will also carry out other admin tasks associated with the role.

Minibus Driver/Escort

Based in Northampton

Rate of pay:  £8.20 per hour and £7.77
20 hours per week, split 16 as Driver, 4 as Escort

Our Minibus Driver/Escorts play a vital role in enabling vulnerable older people to attend our Wellbeing Centres throughout Northamptonshire.  We are looking for a caring, confident person who will treat their passengers with respect and ensure they feel safe at all times.  The successful candidate will have a full driving licence which includes a D1 classification.  If you enjoy meeting older people and are keen to make a positive difference to their lives, we would love to hear from you.

Domestic Care Workers (part-time)

In all areas of Northamptonshire

Rate of pay:  £7.50 per hour
Flexible working hours

We need reliable, caring people who can work part-time hours to provide a service to older people that will enable them to enjoy living independently in their own homes.

Our Domestic Care Workers undertake a range of cleaning tasks according to the needs and wishes of our clients.  This can involve washing floors and other surfaces, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, vacuuming and dusting living rooms, bedrooms and hallways and cleaning kitchens.  You may also be asked to do small amounts of washing and ironing, change bed linen and collect light shopping from the nearest local shop.  Our Domestic Care Workers also carry out a Spring clean, if and when required by the client.
