Domestic Care Worker Relief Support Role

Location: Corby, Daventry and Wellingborough areas

Rate of pay: £11.69 per hour

Hours of work: Contracted hours - two or three 6-hour days, to be confirmed with successful candidate at interview

About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide holiday and sickness cover for colleagues to the most vulnerable clients of the service. Our Domestic Care Workers undertake a range of cleaning tasks according to the needs and wishes of our clients. This can involve washing floors and other surfaces, cleaning kitchen, bathrooms and toilets, vacuuming and dusting living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. You may also be asked to do small amounts of washing and ironing, maybe change bed linen and collect light shopping from the nearest local shop.

No personal care is involved.

About you

We need reliable, caring people to provide a service to older people that will enable them to enjoy living independently in their own homes. You might have a background in care work or perhaps you just want a change of career where you can get more job satisfaction, knowing that you are helping older people. Perhaps you have always worked in an office and would now prefer to be more active and not stuck in one building all day.

It is essential that the postholder is a car driver with access to their own vehicle, due to the requirement to provide cover across the county.
