Webinar - Protect yourself from online scams and fraud

Sign up for the free online session

Cyber Scotland is hosting an online session at 11am on Wednesday 10th August about how to protect yourself from online scams and fraud. This will take place on the Zoom platform.

Being online makes life easier in many ways, but it also comes with the risk of scams and fraud. Opportunist criminals are taking advantage of people using laptops, phones, and tablets more than ever before. These scams can lead to accounts being hacked.

There are ways that you can stay protected online and it is easier than you might think.

CyberScotland’s new 'DIGI Ken?' TV adverts shows you the steps to take to stay secure online.

In this webinar, Cyber Scotland will:

• Play the TV adverts and talk you through this advice
• Share advice for creating strong passwords that are easy to remember
• Show you how to set up an extra security feature to protect you from potential scammers.
• Explain the importance of keeping your device's software up-to-date

You don’t need any technical knowledge to take part.

Come along and take steps to protect yourself online!
