Thanks for your interest in working for Age Cymru.
We have the following vacancy in our Dementia Advocacy project.
Advocacy is a crucial service for people with dementia. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a service that makes sure the voices and wishes of older people with dementia are heard and respected. As an advocate you’ll be a part of a team working across Wales delivering a service that achieves positive, person led outcomes for older people with dementia and people going through process of being diagnosed with dementia. You’ll support older people with dementia to be at the centre of the decision making process in some of the most important aspects of their lives, working with a wide range of agencies, carers and statutory organisations.
Independence and autonomy in our decision making is so important, this a chance to be part of a team that supports these principles for some of the people who need them most.
The post covers Conwy and Denbighshire and will initially be home based due to the pandemic situation, but over time will move to local partner agency offices where you will be working alongside a wider network of organisations supporting older people across Wales.
