Thanks for your interest in working for Age Cymru.
We have the following vacancies in our Information and Advice team and our Dementia Advocacy project.
Would you like to join a service that makes a difference to older people in Wales? The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant increase in the need for our services and we're recruiting for an Information and Guidance Officer to join the Age Cymru team.
As an Information and Guidance Officer you'll provide accurate, impartial and comprehensive information by telephone, email or letter to enquirers who contact Age Cymru Advice.
With full training provided, if successful you'll offer support to older people, their carers, friends and families as well as other professionals. You'll help service users navigate the sometimes complex welfare benefits system, understand their rights and entitlements, and access the care and support they need.

We’re recruiting two advocates for our Dementia Advocacy Project.
Advocacy is a crucial service for people with dementia. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a service that makes sure the voices and wishes of older people with dementia are heard and respected. As an advocate you’ll be a part of a team working across Wales delivering a service that achieves positive, person led outcomes for older people with dementia and people going through process of being diagnosed with dementia. You’ll support older people with dementia to be at the centre of the decision making process in some of the most important aspects of their lives, working with a wide range of agencies, carers and statutory organisations.
Independence and autonomy in our decision making is so important, this a chance to be part of a team that supports these principles for some of the people who need them most.
These posts covering Flintshire/Wrexham and Conwy/Denbighshire will initially be home based due to the pandemic situation, but over time will move to local partner agency offices where you will be working alongside a wider network of organisations supporting older people across Wales.
