Age Cymru response regarding health boards' communications with older people

Age Cymru’s chief executive Victoria Lloyd says: “Given the different demographics between health boards and the different ways they are delivering vaccinations we understand there may be some variations in the way people are asked to communicate with them. For example, some health boards primarily use a GP-led system while others make greater use of vaccination centres.

“However, we would have some concerns if health boards relied solely upon digital media to communicate with older people as approximately half of the over 75s in Wales are not online.

“Fundamentally, the most thing is that the right people, get the right information, on time, and in an accessible format.”
