CARDIFF SOUTH and Penarth Assembly Member joins Age Cymru's ‘Add To Your Life' health session in Moorland Road Day Centre 24 August.
Vaughan Gething AM is joining Wales's national older people's charity to support older people to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Age Cymru's ‘Add To Your Life' volunteers support local older people to complete an online health assessment that can help them understand their current physical and mental health.
Vaughan Gething AM says;
"I'm delighted to join Age Cymru today to support older people in my Cardiff south and Penarth constituency.
 "'Add To Your Life' is a fantastic programme that helps older people make positive changes to their health in small achievable steps.
"Our health is an important factor of our wellbeing and as we grow older, we need to ensure that we maintain it in order to enjoy a healthy lifestyle."
Claire Bottomley, Healthy Ageing Manager says;
"We're thrilled that Vaughan Gething AM is attending and supporting our ‘Add To Your Life' volunteer-led session on 24 August.
"Our expert volunteers will provide step-by-step guidance through the health assessment, assisting people who are not confident with IT or do not have internet access.
"This guidance and information will show older people how they can maintain or improve their health, through simple yet important changes to their lifestyle."
Age Cymru volunteers are delivering the free health assessments regularly in Moorland Road Day Centre in partnership with STAR Communities First, Cardiff.
