Hold a 'Winter Warmer' fundraiser

With the Christmas and New Year celebrations over and life returning to normal for many of us, let's spare a thought for older people across Wales who are cold, isolated and lonely.

Thousands live in one room just to keep warm over the winter; some go for a month without seeing anyone and many others consider the TV to be their only company.

As part of our annual ‘Spread the Warmth' campaign Age Cymru is asking for your help to prevent this suffering among older people in winter.

Imagine how you would feel if your house was cold and unwelcoming; if you didn't have your family and friends around you; or you could only afford to live in one room with just the TV for company?

You can do your bit to help cold, isolated and lonely older people across Wales by organising your own ‘Winter Warmer' fundraising event for Age Cymru.

All you have to do is hold an event or activity between now and the end of February that gives you a warm and cosy feeling.
