Our trading activities

Age UK offers financial services and products that support independent living under the Age Co brand, as well as running over 400 charity shops and operating a social lottery and raffle. All the profits help to fund our charitable work.

Age Co

We developed the Age Co brand to make it as clear as possible that when someone buys an Age Co product, it's a commercial transaction. The prices of those products aren't subsidised by the charity, and the profits are given to Age UK to fund our charitable work.

Products and services offered under the Age Co name include insurance, legal services and funeral plans, all designed to give older people the freedom and confidence to live as they wish.

The Age Co range aims to help older people enjoy financial security and continue to live independently.

Age UK charity shops

There are more than 400 Age UK charity shops

Age UK charity shops are the face of the charity on high streets across England and Wales. We're investing in our shops so our customers get the best possible experience with us. Since the investment programme began in 2016/17 we have refurbished 48% of our network, which is now delivering profit growth of 8%.

In 2018/19 we opened our first fashion only, boutique style shop in Finchley, North London.
