Christmas sprinkles to decorate Method Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas mark 4. Grease and line 2 x 8-inch cake tins with greaseproof paper. Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarb, sugar, spice and salt ... level by slicing off the top with a bread knife. Spread a third of the icing across across the cake, leaving a couple of millimetres at the edges. Place your second cake on top of the first and press down
