The suggested legal wording below will assist your solicitor in drawing up or amending your will to include your gift to help our vital work.

We have provided wordings below for the different types of gift you can leave to Age UK:


Wording for a residuary gift

I give the residue of my estate to Age UK, Room W3B, Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA (Registered Charity Number 1128267)* for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.


Wording for a pecuniary or specific gift

I give the sum of £_____ (or the item specified) to Age UK, Room W3B, Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA (Registered Charity Number 1128267)* for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.

*a) for national gifts to benefit Wales directly, change to Age Cymru, Ty John Pathy, 13/14 Neptune Court, Vanguard Way, Cardiff CF24 5PJ (Registered Charity Number 1128436)

b) for national gifts to benefit Scotland directly, change to Age Scotland, Causewayside House, 160 Causewayside, Edinburgh EH9 1PR (Registered Charity Number SC-010100)

c) for national gifts to benefit Northern Ireland directly, change to Age NI, 3 Lower Crescent, Belfast BT7 1NR (Registered Charity Number XT14600)

d) for gifts to local Age Concerns/Age UKs, change to Age Concern/Age UK _____, followed by full address of that Age Concern/Age UK and their Registered Charity Number

e) for gifts to Age International, change to Age International, Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9NA (Registered Charity Number 1128267-8)
