1 Million Minutes is a campaign by ITV's Good Morning Britain in conjunction with Age UK and other charities dedicated to combating loneliness in later life.
There are 1.9 million older people across England who often feel ignored or invisible these days.
We're asking people to pledge between 15 and 120 minutes of their time to help an older person in isolation, and help us reach our goal of 1 million minutes in total.
The campaign launches on Monday 27 November 2017 and will run throughout December, and there are a wide range of pledging opportunities available, from befriending someone on the phone to helping out at local lunch clubs and events.
To think that there are almost 2 million older people who often feel invisible is upsetting and I really hope lots of people support our 1 Million Minutes campaign and make a difference to someone's life this Christmas.
We need volunteers to support us at our big calendar events. At our running events, you might be manning a cheer point or water station, marshalling or supporting runners at our receptions.
If you haven't yet signed the pledge, head over to ITV's Good Morning Britain website to let us know we can count on your support.
For more information call Age UK on 0800 169 8787.
We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
