Why only buy charity cards at Christmas?

Age UK launches Everyday Cards so you can keep on giving all year-round

Whether you want to say ‘happy birthday' or ‘congratulations', Age UK's colourful new range of beautifully illustrated Everyday Cards will have the right card for you. Available in your local Age UK shop at [insert address here], shoppers with a conscience can buy cards for 99p each, knowing that they're supporting a hugely important cause at the same time.

Produced from responsible materials which carry the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) mark, Age UK is selling a new range of around fifty designs covering occasions such as birthdays, weddings and sympathy cards, as well as blank cards, so now shoppers can buy charity cards for every occasion throughout the year.

Available in a variety of contemporary and traditional styles, sales from the Everyday Cards will go towards funding valuable work to help people in later life. Age UK provides information, advice and support to over five million people, commercial products and services to over one million customers, and researches and campaigns on the issues that matter to older people.

The Age UK shop in [insert name of town here] will continue to stock a wide range of donated and new items, including clothes, accessories, books and home-ware and it will rely heavily on local people donating their much loved goods.

[Insert name here], Manager of the Age UK shop in [insert name of town here], said: 'People often support good causes at Christmas by choosing charity cards, so we're hoping that they'll want to do the same for every occasion. We would encourage as many people in the area as possible to support us by buying these very reasonably priced Everyday Cards all year round from their local Age UK shop. Come and visit us and take a look around, you'll be surprised at what you will find!'

Age UK is the new force combining Age Concern and Help the Aged, dedicated to improving later life.

We provide free information, advice and support to over five million people; commercial products and services to over one million customers; and research and campaign on the issues that matter to people in later life. Our work focuses on five key areas: money matters, health and well being, home and care, work and training and leisure and lifestyle. We work with our national partners, Age Scotland, Age Cymru and Age NI (together the Age UK Family), our local Age UK partners in England and local Age Concerns. We also work internationally for people in later life as a member of the DEC and with our sister charity Help Age International.

Age UK is a charitable company limited by guarantee and registered in England (registered charity number 1128267 and company number 6825798). Age Concern England and Help the Aged (both registered charities), and their trading and other associated companies merged on the 1st April 2009. Together they have formed the Age UK Group ("we"). Charitable services are offered through Age UK and commercial products are offered by the Charity's trading companies, which donate their net profits to Age UK (the Charity).
