We hope our list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below will answer most of your questions. If you have a question not covered by our FAQs, feel free to contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

What opportunities are there to work for Age UK in my local area?

Age UK supports and assists a network of more than 170 local Age UKs throughout England. Each Age UK is an independent charity and together we work in a strong partnership to actively promote the wellbeing of people in later life. If you would like to know what opportunities there are to work for your local Age UK, please visit the vacancies page on their independent websites.

Does Age UK have a Graduate or Internship Scheme?

I would like to work for Age UK but I can’t see a role that I’d like to apply for at the moment. Will Age UK accept my speculative CV or application?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept speculative CVs and applications. You can however set up future job alerts and we will contact you when a role comes up that you would like to know about. Please visit our ‘Login’ page where you can create a candidate account with us and set this up.

I’ve applied for a role with Age UK. When will I hear back about the outcome of my application?

We review all applications after the closing date of each role and will contact every candidate between 7 – 10 working days following this date to let them know the outcome of their application.

I’ve been invited for an interview with Age UK. What should I expect?

As we have so many diverse roles here at Age UK, each interview will be different and therefore the structure of your interview will be specified in your confirmation email from us.

Will I receive feedback from my application?

Due to the large number of applications we receive for our roles, we are unable to provide feedback at shortlisting stage. If you have been invited to an interview with us, please request that you would like feedback at the end of this. The Recruitment Team will then ensure that you are given feedback when we deliver the outcome of your interview.

How do I apply for a job at Age UK?

You can apply for your dream job with Age UK, by to uploading your CV or by using LinkedIn. Our database will also remember you details from a previous application by using your email address. So if you apply with us and want to use your details from before, just be sure to use that email address.

Along with your CV we would like you to provide a supporting statement. This statement should explain how your skills and abilities match the criteria we have defined within the Job Description.
