Age UK’s response to pensions cold-calling ban
Caroline Abrahams, Charity Director at Age UK, said: “The ban on pensions cold-calling is extremely welcome. Scamming someone out of their pension goes far beyond just stealing their money; it is potentially stealing someone’s future, a retirement they have worked hard for, and it is completely unacceptable. Scams are very difficult, if not impossible, to eliminate entirely but making pensions cold-calling illegal is a good first step and sends a strong message that this kind of crime will not be tolerated.”
