Ready to apply?
When you're applying for a new job, you want to know everything there is to know. Here are a few pointers that might help.
How do I apply for a job at Age UK?
You can apply for your dream job with Age UK by uploading your CV or by using LinkedIn. Our database will also remember your details from a previous application by using your email address. So if you apply with us and want to use your details from before, just be sure to use that email address.
Along with your CV we would like you to provide a supporting statement. This statement should explain how your skills and abilities match the criteria we have defined within the job description.
I'd like to work for Age UK but can't see an appropriate role. Can I apply speculatively?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept speculative CVs and applications. You can however set up future job alerts and we will contact you when a role comes up that you would like to know about. Please visit our 'Login' page where you can create a candidate account with us and set this up.
I've applied for a role with Age UK. When will I hear back about the outcome of my application?
We review all applications after the closing date of each role and will contact every candidate between 7 – 10 working days following this date to let them know the outcome of their application.
I've been invited for an interview with Age UK. What should I expect?
As we have so many diverse roles here at Age UK, each interview will be different and therefore the structure of your interview will be specified in your confirmation email from us.
Will I receive feedback from my application?
Due to the large number of applications we receive for our roles, we are unable to provide feedback at shortlisting stage. If you have been invited to an interview with us, please request that you would like feedback at the end of this. The Recruitment team will then ensure you're given feedback when we deliver the outcome of your interview.
I am having technical issues submitting my application. Who should I contact for help?
I have a disability or a health condition which affects me at work. What support can I expect through the recruitment process?
Here at Age UK we are committed to promoting fairness and equality of opportunity through our recruitment process, and we strive to make our workplace as accessible as possible. Age UK is part of the Disability Confident scheme in UK. We will offer an interview to all disabled candidates (as defined by the 2010 Equality Act) who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
Candidates applying as part of the Disability Confident Scheme, are reminded to clearly state this within their covering letter.
