The Leeds Abbey Dash – 10k for Age UK returns in 2021, taking place on Sunday 24 October.

The health and safety of our runners, volunteers, delivery team, event partners and spectators is our top priority and we have introduced a range of measures to ensure the event operates in line with the Government’s latest COVID-19 safety guidelines.

The Leeds Abbey Dash experience

Just wanted to thank Age UK as this was one of the best large 10k events I’ve had the pleasure of doing. Such a lovely atmosphere throughout the race. Job well done.

Who you're running for

Meet Amrita

For 1.4 million older people in the UK, loneliness is a daily reality. But the Age UK Telephone Friendship Service makes it more bearable. “When the telephone rings, it’s lovely," explains Amrita. “I’m having to stay in and I find myself walking around talking to myself, keeping my mind busy. The woman who rings me is great; we get on like a house on fire. It’s so nice to have someone to talk to.”

It’s our amazing runners that make this race so special. We don’t think you’ll find a friendlier, more inclusive 10K – the atmosphere is always fantastic, but after a year off we’re definitely ready to celebrate! Plus, every runner who crosses the finish lines receives an Age UK 2021 medal and tasty refreshments.
