The Leeds Abbey Dash 10k for Age UK is back! Take up the challenge and raise vital funds to help us support the older people who need us most.
This exciting event takes place in Leeds city centre on a flat course perfect for runners of all ages and levels, with a fun atmosphere that makes for a truly memorable day.
Sadly, 1.2 million older people across the UK say they often feel lonely. We believe no older person should struggle alone. That's why we're determined to be there, providing information, support, friendship and advice. But we need your help. By taking part you will help us be there for older people in Yorkshire and across the UK. So do something incredible...
Syd, 89, said the best part of his life was being married to his wife, Val. When she passed away, he felt lost and became increasingly lonely. Thankfully, Syd heard about Age UK and now receives regular calls through our Telephone Friendship Service. Our calls give Syd a friendly voice at the end of the phone, someone to laugh and share fond memories with, or to turn to if he needs support. Help us support more older people like Syd.
