Just wanted to thank Age UK as this was one of the best large 10k events I’ve had the pleasure of doing. Such a lovely atmosphere throughout the race. Job well done.
For 1.4 million older people in the UK, loneliness is a daily reality. But the Age UK Telephone Friendship Service makes it more bearable. “When the telephone rings, it’s lovely," explains Amrita. “I’m having to stay in and I find myself walking around talking to myself, keeping my mind busy. The woman who rings me is great; we get on like a house on fire. It’s so nice to have someone to talk to.”
FAQs on 2021's event, specifically around finishing times, can be found below. If you have any other questions about the event, contact our team at events@ageuk.org.uk
Please email Race Ahead, giles.hancock@raceahead.co.uk, and they will be able to help. We should be able to establish your finishing time based on the finish line photography and any timing devices you may have been wearing on the day. We will then be able to update your finishing time in the results table.
Please email Race Ahead, giles.hancock@raceaead.co.uk, and they will be able to help resolve the query.
