Tuesday Treat rules

Age UK Weekly Lottery Licences

Age UK (charity no. 1128267) wholly owns 3 subsidiary companies, each of which promotes a society lottery to raise funds to support different areas of Age UK’s work. Each lottery draw is promoted by one of the subsidiaries on a rotational basis, in accordance with the lottery draw calendar (see play.ageuk.org.uk/lottery/draw-calendar) and the lottery draws together are referred to as the Tuesday Treat Draw. Responsible person: Laurie Boult, Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA. £1 per entry. You must be 18 or over to enter. Entries not to be sold to or by anyone under 18 years of age. The three subsidiary companies, also known as “Promoters”, share the same registered office address at Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA and are each licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission (www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk): (i) Age UK Information and Advice Lottery CIC, registered company (no. 11335248), Gambling Commission account no: 52373, provides funding for Age UK’s free national advice line, practical expert information guides and factsheets and local advice drop-in sessions provided by Age UK’s partners; (ii) Age UK Education and Research Lottery CIC, registered company (no. 11372685), Gambling Commission account no: 52417, provides funding for Education and Research; (iii) Age UK Local Programmes Lottery CIC, registered company (no. 11335613), Gambling Commission account no: 52413, provides funding for the 140+ local Age UK charities that deliver high quality services and social activities to their local communities.

Age UK Information and Advice Lottery CIC (Registered Company No.11335248, Account no: 52373), provides funding for Age UK’s Information and Advice Service which provides information and advice to people over the age of 50 and their carers. The information and advice Age UK provides covers every facet of later life from how to find a care home to how to calculate an older person’s pension entitlement. This service is provided in the form of free information guides and fact sheets available online, on the phone through Age UK’s Advice Line, and through local partners who deliver the service through drop in sessions around the UK.

Age UK Local Programmes Lottery CIC (Registered Company No.11335613, Account No: 52413), provides funding for a range of services that Age UK delivers throughout its local network of 125+ local Age UK charities. Age UK Local programmes include services such as helping older people to stay active or supporting older people to become digitally up-skilled. These services are aimed at improving wellbeing. Funding these services will help to secure the viability of our local network.

Age UK Education and Research Lottery CIC (Registered Company No.11372685 Account No. 52417) provides funding for the Policy and Research teams at Age UK. These teams research and gather evidence on the main issues impacting older people here in the UK. They then work to educate the public, service providers and the government with their findings with the aim to shape policies and systems with older people in mind.

There are two Age UK Weekly Lottery draws per week, Tuesday and Friday and once a quarter the Friday weekly draw is replaced by a Superdraw which is open to regular Age UK Weekly Lottery and Tuesday Treat Draw players.

Age UK Tuesday Treat Draw Rules

Entry to the Age UK Weely Lottery

  1. To enter the Tuesday Treat Draw you must be age 18 or over and live in the UK. We are not licensed to accept entries online from The Channel Islands or The Isle of Man.
  2. The Promoters will conduct the Tuesday Treat Draw every Tuesday. The draw will be made utilising a random number generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third-party test house.
  3. The winning numbers will be published on the Age UK website and will be available via the Age UK Tuesday Treat Draw helpline from the following working day. Please telephone 0800 304 7599 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, excludes Bank Holidays).
  4. The cost of each entry is £1. Players may purchase more than one entry and payment must be made in advance by one of the methods permitted.
  5. All net proceeds from the Draws go to Age UK from its 3 wholly owned subsidiaries on a rotational basis. All funds are held in separate trust accounts.
  6. The Promoters may reject any application without giving reason at its absolute discretion. No detail in the application may be changed in any way once it has been submitted, except for a change of address.
  7. The prizes for the Age UK Tuesday Treat Draw are printed in the leaflets provided and are advertised on the Age UK website. There are no alternatives to any prize and no interest is payable. Cash prizes will be sent by cheque within 14 days. Entrants will be notified as to any change in the prize structure.
  8. The Promoters are not responsible for any delay in bank payments.
  9. No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication.
  10. The Promoters may (without giving any reason or notice) decline to accept an application, cancel an existing subscription, or terminate or suspend the scheme.
  11. The Promoters reserve the right to use Winners’ names for promotional purposes. These will only be used in summary e.g. Mrs Smith from Surrey.
  12. The Promoters’ decisions made pursuant to the Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.

All Age UK Weekly Lottery Rules apply unless otherwise stated above. 

Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw

The following terms and conditions apply to the Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw.

  1. The Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw is promoted by Age UK Local Programmes Lottery CIC (company number 11335613) (the “Promoter”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Age UK (charity number 1128267, company number 06825798).
  2. The closing date for the Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw will be 14 days after the first qualifying response to this promotion is received.
  3. Qualifying responses will comprise of a fully completed application to join the Tuesday Treat Draw, using an Application Form which includes the pre-printed Promo Code for this promotion.
  4. The Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw will take place 5 working days after the closing date.
  5. The draw will be made utilising a random number generator that has been tested and approved by an independent third-party test house.
  6. 10 lucky winners will receive a £50 M&S Gift Card.
  7. There are no alternatives to the £50 M&S Gift Cards awarded.
  8. No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication.
  9. Further Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw details can be obtained by telephoning the Age UK Tuesday Treat Draw helpline on 0800 304 7599 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, excludes Bank Holidays).
  10. The Promoter(s) reserve the right to use Tuesday Treat Fast Reply Draw winners’ names for promotional purposes. These will only be utilised in summary, e.g. Mrs Smith from Surrey.
  11. The Promoters may (without giving any reason or notice) decline to accept an application or terminate or suspend the scheme.

Age UK Education and Research Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11372685, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52417; provides funding for research activities that advance education in relation to issues affecting older people in the UK.

The responsible person for all Promoters is: Laurie Boult, who can be contacted at the above address.

£1 per entry. You must be 18 or over to enter. Entries not to be sold to or by anyone under 18 years of age. All proceeds from the Age UK Weekly Lottery go to the relevant Promoter and all profits are donated to Age UK.

All the money from each draw goes to that months designated area of support (Information and Advice, Local Programmes and Education and Research) the Age UK Charity then allocates the profits from these lotteries against that months area of support.

The % of proceeds raised and declared as profit from each of the society lotteries promoted in 2020 by each of the three subsidiaries and the likelihood of winning a prize, can be found on the Society Lotteries web page.
