Random acts of kindness

Joe Sugg, Age UK Ambassador, blowing up a balloon

Make someone smile

Give someone that floating-on-air feeling this random acts of kindness day. We've got some great ideas for how.

1.4 million people in the UK today are often lonely.
That might be your Granny, or it might be your next door neighbour. But a small act of kindness can make a huge difference to an older person.

Ways to be kind

A few years ago, my 91-year-old neighbour became a widower and has since lived on his own. After this tough time in his life, I made him a Victoria Sponge and we've been friends ever since.
