Adapting your home information guide

Everyone wants to live in their own home as long as they can. Our guide can help you make the changes you need to stay independent for longer.

This guide looks at changes you could consider making at home to make day-to-day life easier – and help you stay independent for longer. It covers:

  • adaptations you could make to different parts of your house
  • helpful technology
  • changes that could help if you live with an impairment
  • getting the support you need.

This guide can help you think through which changes are right for you. It also lists lots of useful organisations that offer more specialised help and support if you need it.
