Leave a Legacy

We use legacies to fund our vital work with older people in Dudley Borough. Leaving a gift in your will can make a significant difference to our work, helping to secure and expand our services and projects across the Dudley Borough. We are an independent local charity, so by choosing to leave a gift to us you can make a lasting impact on your community.

A residuary legacy is the remainder of your estate (or a percentage of it) after gifts to family, friends, other causes, funeral expenses and other outgoings have been distributed.  This is particularly valuable to us because it protects against inflation.

A pecunicary legacy is a fixed amount that you wish to gift to us.  However, it will significantly lose its value over time due to inflation.

A specific legacy is a named gift.

How to leave a legacy

We recommend that you make a will with a solictor.  If you have already made a will, it is simple to add to a codicil to amend it.  You may have other changes to make, for example if you have a new family member to think about such as a child or grandchild.  If there are multiple changes to be made, it may be advisable to make a new will.

You will need the following details about the charity.

Registered Charity Name:  Age Concern Dudley

Registered Charity Address:  3 Dudley Court North, The Waterfront, Level Street, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 1XP

Registered Charity Number: 1084182
