Our partners Silver Travel Advisor, the holiday reviews and information website for those over 50, share their top three tips to save on your bus and train travel.

  1. If you are over 60, you can get a Senior Person's Railcard and save yourself a 1/3 on most rail fares in Britain for just £30 a year.
  2. If you prefer coach to train, National Express offer a Senior Coachcard for over 60s which will save you 1/3 on Standard and Fully Flexible fares for the bargain price of £12.50 a year - with additional special deals on Tuesdays!
  3. Depending on where you live in the UK, you could get free bus travel when you are 60 or over.
