Our Later Life Goals programme is delivered through holistic, person-centred sessions. It specifically targets people who are experiencing a significant life event, or coping with a life change.
We provide informal, one to one sessions aimed at supporting you to resolve your situation and help you to achieve the things that matter to you.
A Later Life Goals Caseworker will meet you face-to-face and take the time to get to know you, understand your situation and find out what is important to you. They will then support you to achieve your aspirations, or connect you with other organisations that can help.
Age UK research has shown that significant life moments can be triggers for older people becoming more isolated and feeling lonelier. Supported by funding from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, we can offer support with planning for the future or finding your feet after a change or transition, such as:
- planning for retirement
- living well with a long-term condition
- coping with bereavement
- adjusting if your partner goes in to care, or managing their existing care needs
- settling in after moving into a new home
If you feel that you - or a friend, relative or carer - would benefit from our Later Life Goals service, then please contact us.
