AGE UK SELBY DISTRICT has, under current Government restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 Pandemic, been forced to suspend some of its services for the safety and well being of the elderly and vulnerable in Selby and surrounding districts.
This includes our door to door shopping, our social centres at Drax Sports and Social Club on Mondays and Tuesdays, our IT classes and our befriending groups at the Micklegate Tearoom and at The Odddfellows pub in Carlton on the first of every month.
For those who attend Strong and Steady at Selby Leisure Centre, in Sherburn or in Tadcaster, please note Yorkshire Sport have suspended classes until the current crisis is showing signs of calming down.
But please be assured we are doing everything we can to ensure that those who need our help will have it. So please call if you need us.
We know it is a time of panic and worry but we are here to help whether you need some assistance with your shopping or you feel concerned and just need someone to talk to.
Please, in the coming days and weeks DO NOT fall for scams which include people coming to your door and offering to do your shopping.
Unless it is someone you know and talk to, a neighbour or family friend, DO NOT accept their help. Call us on 01757704115 and one of our staff will assist you.
The current situation is changing daily but we are doing our best to keep up and will be updating this website regularly to try and keep you as well informed as possible.
