Having a pet is a wonderful companion but there are times when you may need help caring for them, perhaps because of a hospital stay or a period of ill health or an emergency.
Worrying about your faithful pet is just going to make your recovery that much tougher so Keep Your Pet aims to stop you or your pet suffering during those difficult times by offering a helping hand.
Age UK Selby District works with Age UK York and District branch and the RSPCA to arrange medium and long-term solutions for pets where necessary
We encourage owners to register in advance of needing our help, that way we can have all the information needed to attend to your pet’s needs.
It’s a free service but like any charity we rely heavily on donations and legacies to allow us to continue and expand this work.
Donations can be made on-line via our just giving link
Like a lot of our work, this service is staffed by volunteers and we do need more help in Selby and York with dog walking, fostering, home visits to feed an animal and taking them to the vets.
We also need help fund raising and distributing posters and leaflets.
You can give as much or as little time as you like but Age UK Selby District needs you.
So please call us on 01757 704115 whether you need help or want to volunteer. We’d love to hear from you
