Making Connections Walsall

Get Connected, Stay Connected!

"Making Connections Walsall" is a friendly service for older people in Walsall that aims to stop people feeling socially isolated and lonely.

Age UK Walsall is one of four voluntary organisations funded by Public Health Walsall to connect older people to the right community-based provision that best suits their needs and interests.

For this specific scheme, we are based in the South of Walsall at:

Age UK Walsall Community Engagement Centre, Ford Street, Pleck, Walsall, WS2 9BW

Our Staff:

We have two Social Connectors - Chloe Smith and Mark Jackson - who will meet with you and discuss the type of support available and the range of activities that you may wish to access. Both Chloe and Mark  are experienced in working with older people from a wide range of communities and backgrounds.  They recognise everyone is different so will take time to discuss what support is right for you!

Referrals are dealt with by the Fire Service in the first instance, who will then refer you to the relevant Social Connector Hub in your area.

To find out more:

If you are an older person - or know an older person - who would benefit from more social interaction, please contact the Fire Service on 0121 380 6690

When accessing this scheme, you will also be offered the opportunity to have a Safe and Well Visit by the Fire Service if you have not previously had one.
