Birthday prize draw rules

  • Entrants in the Age UK Weekly Lottery Birthday Draw must be 18 years and over.
  • The Promoters will conduct the Age UK Weekly Lottery Birthday Draw on the last Friday of every month. The draw will be made utilising a random number generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third-party test house.
  • The winning details will be available via the Age UK Weekly Lottery helpline from the following working day. Please telephone 0800 849 8198 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays).
  • Entry into the Birthday Draw is only open to Age UK Weekly Lottery players who have a valid entry on the last Friday of each month, and have a recorded date of birth for the month of the draw. e.g. Draw is last Friday of May then all birthdays in May are eligible.
  • The Promoters may reject any application without giving reason at its absolute discretion. No detail in the application may be changed in any way once the draw has been completed.
  • There will be 150 guaranteed prizes every month, 1st prize £200, 2nd prize of £100, 3rd of £50, 147 of £5 prize. There are no alternatives to any prize and no interest is payable. Prizes will be sent by cheque within 14 days. Entrants will be notified as to any change in the prize structure.
  • The Promoters are not responsible for any delay in bank payments.
  • No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication.
  • The Promoters may (without giving any reason or notice) decline to accept an application, or terminate or suspend the scheme.
  • The Promoters reserves the right to use Winners’ names for promotional purposes. These will only be used in summary e.g. Mr Davies from Lincolnshire.
  • The Promoter’s decisions made pursuant to the Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.

Age UK, 7th Floor, One America Square, 17 Crosswall, London EC3N 2LB, registered charity in England and Wales (1128267), wholly owns three subsidiary companies, each of which promotes a society lottery to raise funds to support different areas of Age UK’s work for older people.

The three subsidiary companies, all registered at 7th Floor, One America Square, 17 Crosswall, London, EC3N 2LB, and also known as ‘Promoters’, are each licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission (

  • Age UK Information and Advice Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11335248, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52373; provides funding for information, advice and related services provided by Age UK and local Age UKs for older people in the UK.
  • Age UK Local Programmes Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11335613, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52413; provides funding for local programmes to assist older people – i.e. the work of local Age UKs.
  • Age UK Education and Research Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11372685, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52417; provides funding for research activities that advance education in relation to issues affecting older people in the UK.

£1 per entry. You must be 18 or over to enter. Entries not to be sold to or by anyone under 18 years of age. All proceeds from the Age UK Weekly Lottery go to the relevant Promoter and all profits are donated to Age UK.

All the money from each Lottery ticket goes to that months designated area of support (Information and Advice, Local Programmes and Education and Research) the Age UK Charity then allocates the profits from these lotteries against that months area of support.
