MoD Discount Service

The Joining Forces programme has now ended

Joining Forces was an Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust supported programme in partnership with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. It was delivered by 12 local projects across England by local Age UKs and SSAFA branches. After 3 successful years, the programme has now ended. Many of the pages in this section will still be useful for information and advice. Alternatively, you can look at the relevant sections of the Age UK website.

I’m a veteran – how can I get this?

Veterans can apply for the discount card, the Defence Privilege Card, which can be used as a recognition card on the high street and help save in stores.

Tom Dalby, Head of Defence Discount Service says: ‘We are honoured to provide the official discount service to Armed Forces and veterans across the UK. Our Defence Privilege Card is a great recognition card and more stores and services are being added each week.’

How can I find out more?

Veterans can sign up for the service online, via the free mobile app called Defence Discount Service, or by requesting a postal application form on 01509 233446.
