Find out how Warm and Well at Age UK helps older people to maximise their income, improve energy efficiency and stay warm in the home.

What is Warm and Well?

Our Warm and Well programme is delivered through tailored benefit advice sessions to identify extra monthly income and provides support in completing benefit claim forms.

Within the advice sessions, older people are given information on staying warm in winter, offered to have energy-efficient light bulbs fitted and provided with a copy of our Winter Wrapped Up information guide.

Warm and Well is delivered by 20 Age UK local sites across England and Wales running from November 2016 to November 2019.

Winter Wrapped Up information guide

Everyone older person who attends a benefits advice session receives a copy of our Winter Wrapped Up information guide.

This provides information on:

  • preparing for winter
  • keeping the home warm
  • keeping warm indoors and out
  • accessing additional Age UK services
  • applying for further support from local charities and energy companies

The guide also includes a handy room thermometer.
